Stalk the Rushes

It is a humid summer day, and the surface of the lake is still.

You are taller than the cattails and the rushes.You stand on magnificent, graceful legs and watch the water with sharp, dark eyes. You are also still. The wind does not even tease your grey-blue feathers.

You are a Great Blue Heron, and you are hunting.

You are biding your time.

You will need:

• A piece of paper (Any size - a smaller paper makes a harder game, a larger paper makes an easier one. Letter-size is suggested for a balanced difficulty!)
• A notebook, counter, journal, or other way to keep track of things
• A pencil or pen
• A water bottle or glass
• At least five six-sided dice (More dice will make a longer and more complex game)
• A small toy or marker (optional)
