Monelica

This is a game about motivating yourself to do the things you've always wanted to do.

Created for the Gibbous Jam, this game is GMed by the Moon. When you put in effort toward realizing your goals, however small, look up the Moon Phase and get your prompt for this solo journaling game. 

This game takes place in the world of Monelica, a peaceful world much, much smaller than our own. It is a whole world suspended on a small planet about the size of our world's Africa.

At least, that is how much land there is in Monelica. Most of the surface of this world is water, shining silvery oceans that stretch out to the gently curving horizon. The sky seems closer, and the people of Monelica have a special place in their hearts for the starlit night sky.

The land of Monelica is seamed through with many, many rivers. Every city is built on a series of beautifully crafted bridges, and people live in harmony with the flow of water through their lives. Some of these magnificent sparkling rivers are awake and aware, inhabited by a powerful spirit that can even emerge at the riverbank to converse with people.

Monelica is a kaleidoscope of beautiful cities, each formed by the unique combination of rivers that feed it. Some feature enormous glassy spires and grand universities, and some feature ancient carvings of fantastic beasts large enough to serve as homes to hundreds of people.

Living in harmony with the water that flows through their world has given the people of Monelica wonderful abilities. Mysterious abilities - at least, you or I would think so.
