I was an anime club kid.

This is a story about being laid up with a fever and re-watching the anime that made up most of your life when you were a teenager and coming to terms with some things.

The anime are fictional. Some of them are more obvious than others. Anyone who can guess all eight of them has something deeply wrong with them, and I feel sorry for that parson.
